We at the Charlotte Maxwell Clinic recognize and acknowledge the traumas that have gripped and mobilized our collective conscience, and the deep mourning entwined with rage and fear many of us may be experiencing.

This is a tumultuous time highlighting the egregious, systemic, and longstanding racial injustices in this country and around the world. We long for a society in which all people are respected, and where every individual shares equally in the benefits, obligations, and protections of that society.

We are hopeful that the time has come for real, sweeping change.

Change requires us to be courageous. Courage requires us to act. We can act by protesting, supporting our favorite charities, volunteering our time, and making sure everyone votes. This is the beginning of a long road.

We at CMC ask that you lean in and act.

Healing is always possible,

The Charlotte Maxwell Clinic
