Compassionate, Smart Leadership Matters!

Charlotte Maxwell Clinic’s Board of Directors have a dual role of representing the community’s interests within the organization and representing the organization’s interests within the community. As a Board Director, your  primary responsibility is to help steer the organization towards a sustainable future while ensuring the health, equity, and stability of the community we serve.

We are currently seeking leaders who bring diverse skill sets, personal experiences, strong communication skills, and a proven history of completing tasks, as well as a willingness to fundraise through their personal and professional networks and local communities. A commitment to our social justice mission of supporting low-income women with cancer through free access to compassionate, holistic, integrative care, is essential.

We offer:

  • Convenient web-based meetings
  • An established organization that’s been in operation for more than 30 years
  • Outstanding leadership, a caring and competent staff, and amazing volunteers

JOIN OUR CHARLOTTE MAXWELL CLINIC BOARD OF DIRECTORS

If you are creative, thoughtful, and willing to dedicate 6-10 hours a month in collaborative support of uplifting and improving the quality of life of women living with cancer, consider joining the Charlotte Maxwell Clinic board. The first step is to complete an application.

Board of Directors Application

BOARD DIRECTOR ORIENTATION AND TRAINING

Once we receive and review your application, the Board Membership Chair will contact you to discuss your interest and availability. The next step is to meet with the Executive Director and Medical Director for a tour of the clinic.

Upon completion of your tour, if it seems like a good fit all around, the board will take a vote at its next scheduled meeting. With an affirmative vote, you will be eligible to participate on CMC’s board of directors.

In addition you will be expected to complete CMC’s New Volunteer Training which consists of video-recorded modules and a more in-depth half-day in-person training/orientation at the clinic.
